Mexican Sopapilla Cheesecake

The taste of sopapillas combined with cheesecake ... can this sound any better? This tasty dessert is so easy to prepare, and a favorite with groups and pot lucks.  If you love cinnamon, sugar and butter, you will love this treat!


  • 2 cans of crescent rolls
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick butter


  1. Preheat oven to 350F.  Press 1 can of crescent rolls into bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan.
  2. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Spread over rolls in pan. Cover with other can of rolls.
  4. Melt butter and stir in rest of sugar and cinnamon. Pour over top.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.


Can be served warm or room temperature.
